I have now decided on my final ideas on what i would like to use in for my final idea, i have decided on locations, casts ideas and my final idea in general. I have found out and created my risk assessment and now know what i need to do to further my creation of my advert.

Locations included use of a home which was easy accessible as it was my home. We used this location at times to show a story-line relevant to the music video which involved our artist Big Tempah becoming a big star and moving from a normal lifestyle to that of a stars. We then also shot on a roof top at a fellow group members house which allowed us to film there with ease which added to the great shots we already had. This shot was used throughout as it was effective and showed Big Tempah to have status. Aside from Gatwick all other shots where filmed on the streets in and around London and the Surrey area meaning we didn't need to get any permission, we simply had to make sure it looked and felt correct applying well to the story-line of the music video. Gatwick however we only had to ask permission when we filmed inside we simply asked a  member of staff who said that was okay. All our locations where successful and allowed us to create an award winning music video, 'Glenthorne    High Schools Goscar awards' for best 'Music video'.

Glenthorne's Sixth-form accademy offers the chance to prepare for a professional career in theatre through full time academic study. The Drama Academy programme is a two year programme, the course constructed to allow students to explore their individual skills to become inventive and imaginative practitioners.  The accademy has many partnerships with practitioners such as BBC and the National Theatre.  Students attend trips to places such as New York as well as an opportunity to take part in events such as World Challenge. As well as studying for three full time academic courses, you will also receive part funding towards Acting and musical Theatre Qualifications, students will have the opportunity to receive Bronze, Silver and Gold awards in acting.  Students will be seeing a new drama studio opening in january 2011 which will increase the amount of drama rooms/studios too 5.  Apart from auditioning for the accademys students will also have to have reached a B grade at a GCSE level.

Synopsis of Advert Ideas

My overall aim is to show potential pupils the options we have available to sixth form students but more specifically drama. Idea 1- My first idea involves a montage effect aiming to the audience of the pupils, our message is to show the happy, fun times pupils at Glenthorne have at times, also showing the differences we as a sixth form offer. The audience therefore perfect as we feel potential pupils will enjoy watching an upbeat advert which shows of our accademy well. As said before it is an advert which would use pictures which then turn into short clips, which will tell our audience why they should come to the sixth form. The comical, fun style of the advert will make our audience want to come to the sixth form. Idea 2- The message of my second idea will be to give facts, figures and an idea that the school is the best around with the right equipment and studios to give their children the education they need. Which is why furthermore we are aiming at the parents asking them too think about bringing their children to Glenthornes accademy. The dramatic style also pulling on the parents heart strings showing the happiness our students have because of the school. The idea is a interview where i would of interviewed pupils, teachers, sixth formers, drama students so the audience then realise the opinions of the actual students. Idea 3- The final idea i would possibly use involves the idea of a film with use of shots of the studios and the equipment almost pictures of things around the school while a voiceover tells the information, leaving the audience to watch what the school offers while hearing over the top. This aimed at parents and pupils as they would both be interested in what the school has the offer, which is why the message behind this advert is to show a calm and safe school environment which parents would like their children to attend. The use of factual and dramatic styles furthermore making the audience /parents feel like the school is very firm but reliable.

This is some merchandise i have created which shows the logo Mixx as a Polo shirt which people could buy bringing in more revenue. It also shows some cups which have VIP logo on them, because it is on a cup and a polo the best file format to use would possibly be JPEG due to the quality i am looking for on the pictures. However if i was putting my logo on a billboard i would use the file format Vector because of the use of mass and it is the best possible for blur which is something you wouldn't want when maximizing the image however if one of the logos was going on the magazine the file format i would use would be PDF due to its small file size and the ease to share, if when creating a website we wanted to use a logo we could use GIF due to the ease we can create animation graphics with this format, finally if creating a letterhead which would need to be sent in an email JPEG would be the most useful due to the ease and size of the format.

Evaluation

My Logos-After creating all of my logos and receiving peer evaluation i am happy with the feedback i have received and feel the work i have created has been successful. I feel that my logos where correct for the type of genre and target audience i was aiming at, i feel the colours and font i used looked good and effective. If i however was creating these logos again i would consider more editing after the creation, including effects and use of possible shapes to make the logos more unique and stand out more. The initial steps to creating my logos where the most challenging due to the amount of research that was undertook in finding the font and thinking about the genre and target audience i was looking targeting, i feel after finding this the creation of my logos was smooth and fairly straight forward; i feel i left myself enough time to complete the task to a standard i am happy with.

Mixx-Mixx was harder for me to make out of all the logos, i had to remove the background on the hands leaving only the hands, i also had to make it transparent to fit over the font, this therefore after creating it i felt most happy about due to the editing i had to do on it. Mixx was aimed at both male and females, the station would play up and coming artists whom are 16 -30 , its competitors are kiss and absolute radio, and i feel the logos fit in perfectly with the type of station it is used for. I think this is the best logo i created due to the outcome but also the work i put into this particular logo.

Pulse-Pulse was made to be aimed at classic pop, 70s to 90s, pulse represents old school music, it is aimed at 20 year olds and onwards due to the genre of music. Its competitors are heart or magic, i feel the logo i created fits well with all this due to the picture i used too put over my image. Within this i had to create the lines on photoshop and also edit the image so it was the correct size as i had to with all images.

Vip- my idea behind the VIP logo would be a new, fresh and elegant logo. It would seem to be a hip and high class feel to the logo with use of a yellow/gold font colour and the use of the actual image of the logo with use of a red carpet barrier to back up the VIP idea of the logo. The target audience was from 16 to around 30 if i was looking widely, the radio would play songs which are hits and very mainstream. I feel this logo was effect and looked great, it demonstrated the ideas i wanted it too.

Decisions, Revisions and Results

Filming - When filming we had lots of initial ideas and where all eager to create a great piece of work making it sometimes hard to come to final conclusions within our work but more so filming, we had a list of shots we needed to get, but the shots could easily be compromised due to things such as weather and surrounding areas, and people, However by using a different shot type to use we could quickly get around this situation sometimes making the shot look better and more effective leaving us more happy and almost glad that this particular thing happened, apart from a few set backs we effectively efficiently filmed our clips and too a good standard i am happy with the standard of filming and the amount we managed to get in the time provided.

Location- Within going to the easier locations we had ease but when having to go to places such as Gatwick Airport for shots we found some difficulties arrived as it would be hard to get to such a place, however once again after managing to go their we got some great shots which where all used in my final production of my music video; we worked well as a team to film in our Locations and i feel the locations worked well also.

Editing/ Uploading- The editing process was used with the software final cut which is easy to use and allows us to use greats effects, within the editing process i had an easy job due to the amount of footage we had filmed priar to this, also the amount of times we had completed the song once through, similarly with uploading i had no problems, i uploaded it to youtube and to my facebook page both receiving nice comments saying it was completed to a high standard.

Props, Costume, Make-up

Props- Throughout the music video process we didn't use many props but the props we did use where music involved for example headphones and music sheets, apart from this we didn't use many props aside from the car we used to get to Gatwick featuring in the video.

Costume- the costume we used was very up to date 21th century fashion, to show our stars style and possible bringing more fans and revenue due to sex appeal or maybe branding.

Make-up- we did not use any make-up throughout the process of making our music video

Idea 1, 2 and 3

Before deciding on my idea i came up with two others, i looked at the idea of walking through many sights in London and areas in and around then. Within this i would use effects such as slow motion and clever shooting techniques to make it almost seem like time travel, my second idea was and Airport idea this would suggest he is going on holiday with things such as bags and Hawaiian shirts and passports it will show a story of how he came from a nobody to leave and become a superstar. Finally an idea involving a choir in the background whilst Big tempah is lip-sinking infront of them giving off a more calm but still illustrious suggestion of his new lifestyle.

However after thinking about these ideas, i decided i was going to think about walking but incorporate this into my Airport idea.

After creating my rough edit of my Music video i new i needed to think of more ways to improve and after hearing the feedback of my client i feel this motivated me and helped me to do what she thought would be suitable and effective.
